Dear god……..
For those of you that don’t know, the first of many song packs were released on Xbox Live Marketplace today. I, being the huge Guitar Hero fan that I am, was very excited at first, until I realized how much I would be paying.
Each “pack” contains 3 songs, and is sold for 500 points. Now, what does this mean? In stores, a 1250 points card costs $20 (CAD). So, that breaks down to 500 points being roughly $8. At three songs each, it’s about $2.60 a song. TWO SIXTY A SONG. If this pricing holds, that means that if we are to get all the songs from Guitar Hero being ported over, we would be spending $122.20. This strikes me as odd seeing as Guitar Hero itself goes for about $50 without the Guitar. Now, I know we’ve all seen this before *coug*Horse Armor*cough*. So, hopefully, Harmonix will learn their lesson for next time, and not be so damn greedy.
